The unhusked rice is not edible and in order to become so a processing
cycle, that will be briefly illustred as follows, is needed.
The
rice harvest, which takes place in October, is dried and stored
by rice growers, and in this phase is commonly called hulled rice.
In a second moment it is transported, in different deliveries, to
the rice mill where the manufacturing processing starts and which
ends with the production of rice as we know it, ready to be packed.
