Our History

1951

The production of rice begins in Oristano, and Cesello Putzu creates the first machines for milling rice.

The potential for growth that rice cultivation was able to give to agriculture in Oristano soon became clear, therefore, the contribution of the new rice mill was fundamental.

During these seventy years, rice cultivation has become one of the main agricultural activities in the Oristano area.

The Sardinian product is known throughout Italy for its excellent quality and, because of this – especially rice for seeding – it has found an outlet in domestic markets.
